He clearly stated why he wants to be president again - that he doesn't have a choice, implying the state of affairs under the current administration . Which is exactly why he considered running decades ago as he clearly stated then on the Oprah and Letterman shows among others.
Then there's the bit about retribution which I already said was one of the driving forces behind him wanting to be president again. He's said numerous times he believes in an eye for an eye; doing unto others what others have done unto him. He was planning on large scale retribution for RussiaGate and campaign spying long before the election theft of 2020, but 2020 gave him even more reason for doing so. Together, I wouldn't doubt for a moment he's serious about running again, health permitting, BECAUSE HE WANTS TO BE PRESIDENT
What are his options?
Well, the electors option didn't work out. The vice pres option didn't work out. The supreme court option didn't work out. The department of justice option didn't work out.
Nobody voted for Biden, so it was just Trump and a majority of gun owning Americans to demand the communist minority separate from us. But since everybody has decided to lay low we've had Biden crisis after Biden crisis after Biden crisis - each one bringing into question the viability of the United States as a nation as we've know it.
So out of all that, Trump left the WH to prevent what from happening exactly??? To stop a civil war from going hot? That's it? That was his option? Maybe the US would look very different today if he would have dug in with the rest of us. But we'd still be a nation under God, not a nation under gene altering mandates and the mercy of Communist China.

I haven't heard a peep of objective from the GOP establishment to DeSantis. Even Ted Cruz drew more ire from the GOP establishment.
Get the hell over it. No President, not even Reagan, kept his promises like Trump did. No President in history struck fear into the uniparty establishment and Deep State than Trump, so much that they rigged an election against him.
