I can’t predict Trump’s endorsement but I’ve predicted all the way that he won’t run. I’ve listened carefully to how Trump puts things from day one. He’s saying he’s not running.

Trump has been saying for months, when asked this question by supporters: "You're going to be happy."
Apparently what will make you happy is Trump not running.

I think you are misreading him. He has always expressed reluctance when asked this question - as far back as the late 1980s.
Donald Trump has never wanted to be President - the same with George Washington or any other true Patriot.
True patriots don’t want power - they just want to make America great again.
I think it’s that patriotic reluctance you are picking up from his responses. He says “we may not have a choice” because he literally doesn’t know if it will be required of him to serve again.
He is not going to turn his back on it if there is no one else who can do it.
Now, having said that, of course he could decide not to run if he thinks there IS someone better - or if his health takes a turn for the worse.. but it won’t be for lack of patriotism.
