I think you are right. DeSantis is great but unproven on the world stage. I know Trump doesn’t care what the left says or thinks and has been an incredible suprise to all real conservatives. No conservative in their wildest dreams thought Trump was going to be the second coming of Reagan.
It is a genuine tribute to Trump, how much there has been to destroy in so short a time by this illegal administration.
Even with them at his throat without cease, Trump built the economy up to record low levels of unemployment. America’s blacks have exchanged this for fists of greatness, toppled statues and looted chinese television sets.
Trump could have made MAGA work, and that could have brought America to the other side of this China-released virus with a better economy than before and with China, properly, in ruins.
It is telling to me, that with his Wall on the souther border, one of Trump’s last ardent supporters was the President of Mexico.
Trump’s “Art of the Deal” was that the only deal worth making, benefits both sides. There is no one else in politics who understands this.
