Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley dismissed the George Floyd riots as “penny packet protests” — insisting they weren’t an insurrection because the mobs only “used spray paint,” according to a new book.
The under-fire general — accused of going behind President Donald Trump’s back to contact his Chinese counterpart — wildly downplayed the riots when Trump raised fears they were “burning America down,” according to Fox News excerpts from the new book, “Peril.”
“Mr. President, they are not burning it down,” he told the alarmed commander-in-chief, according to authors Bob Woodward and Robert Costa.
“They used spray paint, Mr. President, that’s not an insurrection,” he told Trump.

Millie should have stayed in his lane. The BLM riots were domestic terrorism — a issue for law enforcement, no the Joint Chiefs.

Apparently, Milley thinks he can be dictator. Reminds me of when, during the Civil War, Gen. Hooker said the US needed a dictator. Lincoln responded with “he’d be the only dictator who hasn’t won a battle. If he can win a battle, I’ll tolerate the possibility of him becoming a dictator”. Apparently, the only “battle” Milley has been in is at the buffet line and it would appear he lost it years ago.
The Democrats from the “greatest generation” era and shortly after are really strange animals. I’ve observed that they are loyal democrats to the death, even if Satan himself is the head of the Party.
The inexorable move to the radical left of the Dem party over the past 4 decade doesn’t faze them. They really are blinded to it all.

Not actually. His job is allegedly to advise the (p)resident on military matters. He’s not actually supposed to ‘command’ any troops. But we all know how this works. Question I have is, was this POS a bad ass once upon a time? I mean he’s got Airborne/Ranger/Specops patches and stuff. Army FR types? Comments?(I think I know) In any case, still a POS now. UCMJ article 133 at the minimum, but nothing’s gonna happen negatively for him.
I suspect most CRT/ BLM stuff is backed by Chinese money. It would explain why big businesses went full in support of it and why a Chinese puppet general told the president it wasn’t a big deal. All BLM should be rounded up for being foreign agents
Thoroughly Modern Milley is down with the struggle. He’d be satisfied if the Army was reduced to thousands of fist-clenching blacks, and screaming harpies.

I saw pics of Milley from his HS days when he was palling around with the HS team’s quarterback, who also ended up in the government. Milley was a “pretty boy” who I think may have gotten ahead on his looks alone.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff are only a panel of high-ranking U.S. military officers who advise the president of the United States and other civilian leaders on military issues. As an advisory body, the Joint Chiefs of Staff DO NOT LEAD COMBAT FORCES AND HAVE NO EXECUTIVE OR COMMAND AUTHORITY OVER TROOPS IN THEIR SERVICES. In other words, military pundits. or military lobbyists.
