I was looking into practices of burials after huge battles back in history. I found an advertisment (editorial?) about bringing back British soldiers bones to use as fertilizer in the garden. “Bring a soldier back from the Continent...” I forget which war - 1800’s???
More recently, articles about Afghan children digging up graves. A man’s skeleton (13 pounds of bones) brings 50 cents and is used for feed, soap, etc.

I’m fascinated by the local ravens, watched them for years. Wouldn’t mind being put on a platform like some Indian tribes did and let them take care of it. Watched them ( and other critters) deal with a dead longhorn of about 1500 pounds. Didn’t take very long.

The Green Burial Council has a listing of such cemeteries, including hybrid cemeteries. I find it an attractive option.

Vincent Price, Boris Karloff and others at least made their movies when it was called “horror” to see such things.
Now it will be good for climate change so no big deal.

The old cowboy way of placing a body in a sheet and burying it did the same.

If you want more information, go to the Yakima Herald website for this past Sunday. There is an article on human composting that is being carried on in Washington State.
Personally, I find it disgusting, because it is disgusting. It shows no respect for the memory of the person or his/her countenance.

Kind of like how Ira Einhorn, the founder of EARTH DAY, did his girlfriend.

Body composting is not appropriate for baptized. Since the Christian body is a Temple of the Holy Spirit and cannot be treated like common garbage.

They’ve got to be kidding right?? How Morbid!I'm pretty sure "green burials" have been the norm for about the past 100,000 years or so.
Egyptian pyramids aside, It's only been in relatively recent time that the funeral industry was able to run a racket out of dying.

Wouldn’t mind being put on a platform like some Indian tribes did and let them take care of it. This was my first thought when I saw the title. I'd have no problem with it. But it will probably be cremation because the family gets queasy at some of my suggestions.

Go for cremation but insist your ashes are scattered over the nearest all you can eat buffet.
