RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — An enormous statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee was cut up and hauled away from Richmond's Monument Avenue three weeks ago, but plaintiffs who failed to block the removal want Virginia's Supreme Court to reconsider its decision allowing it....

... lawyer Patrick McSweeney says his clients "don't think the state owns and controls the monument."

The state wants to keep the monument and land while disavowing promises made to obtain them....

The plantiffs own the land the statue was on, and own the statue? So was the invasion of the cornerstone looking for treasure and the subsequent placing of a different statue tresspassing and illegal taking??

Nothing matters but Northam’s pandering.

Who cares if they ban the rebel flag?
The South was a bunch of losers and traitors, anyway!

The irony is, General Lee was less racist than Governor Blackface Klan Dunce Cap.

You would think that before you took down a large, historical monument that has been there for decades, that you’d first check to see who owned the damn thing, and the ground it sits on.

It does suck to have a statue of a man removed by someone not fit to polish his boots. I’m guessing Ralph Northam will never have numerous statues and roads and whatnot named after him (and even if he did, his black face antics would probably get him canceled a lot faster than Lee was.)

That goes right along with “Well, once they tear down all the Confederate statues, they’ll be pacified and stop...”

These removals are just plain wrong and started by Obama.

And the statue of Martin Luther King (also Obama) does NOT belong on the Mall or anyplace near it. Put the ugly piece of work in King's hometown.

And in Rochester NY, they really went overboard...There are 13 statues of Frederick Douglas all over the city and little to no notice of white people who had come well before him in NYS and abolished slavery in 1827. He didn't come to Rochester in 1843.

They will probably put a naked crazed Marcus Peters statue up.

Still waiting for Senator Robert Byrd’s name to be removed from buildings, highways. You would think former high ranking KKK member would be someone they would want removed.

Actually the constant whining of inferior blacks who can’t tolerate their actual inequality is the root of the problem
