So tell me, how did these people, especially the women, manage to ignore the CHILD GROPING-HAIR-SNIFFING-UNINTELLIGABLE-SENILE MAUNDERINGS and the filled diaper stench of an OBVIOUS PEDOPHILE?

Apparently adults lie a lot and don’t object to fabrications (”armed insurrection”). In fact adults play along with such fabrications.

David French 2020: Trump sending the FBI to stop riots in Portland is the "death throes" of "local autonomy."

David French 2021: Biden mobilizing the FBI against parents at school board meetings is good and proper.

I don’t get the reference, political shorthand or whatever it is you’re trying to say or imply.

If you mean “National Review Republicans” are “Vichy Republicans”, collaborators, quislings, Copperheads, Wets, traitors or something of the sort, please say so.

An often mislabeled historic photo used without context may speak volumes to you but leaves me perplexed about your meaning.

It wasn’t on the news they normally see. I know one of them—voted for Trump the first time, but then went with Biden. Totally regretted it a few weeks later when she heard about the Hunter computer.

I heard some of the truly awful and totally mendacious “opining” of those people like Rachel Maddow and her crew. Turned my stomach, let me tell you. Spun the truth into a lie, then twisted it some more by adding more lies. Continually saying Trump was going to do this or that, none of which he did, and all in a terribly urgent tone.

And people fell for it because that was all that was out there.

The closest the MSM got to Biden’s actual sexual aggressiveness was when Tara Reade accused him of abuse in the halls of the Senate. The difference between the MSM reaction to that and to the Blaney Ford accusations reveals everything in microcosm. National hysteria for the one, mild tut-tutting for the other.

They are “Professional Managerial Class” republicans. They believe in assembling experts to study issues and make recommendations that elected officials implement. It is how the US has been run since Woodrow Wilson.

Most of what this brand of republican does is in support of defending and continuing that form of government. The problems with it are legion.

It is central planning. You can change politicians but the same wrong-headed experts like Fauci remain. It totally short circuits the democratic process immunizing the government against change not initiated by those same experts.

As time has gone on those experts have become completely insulated from any consequences of failure.

They saw Trump as a threat to that because of the way he appealed to the population, but ironically he did nothing to change that system and it ultimately doomed his presidency.

In my mind, conservatism has always been about preserving individual freedom. My sense is that the GOP, and the Republican commentary are not pleased with what some people choose to do with their freedom. They consider Trump and his supporters to be crass. But even if that is the case in some instances-it is their freedom to be so. Really, the GOP is just as interested in managing and controlling their constituents as the Democrats are, even if the specifics are a little different.

Actually Trump sent federal marshalls, but obviously it was to stop ACTUAL violence, and the nut job French was opposed. The parents aren’t violent.
