Yep. Semi-autos converted to sub machine guns with auto sears. I’ve heard the recordings from crime scenes. It’s real.

It is real hard tom tell by sound recordings if it is full auto for semi auto.

So, by listening to a recording of gunfire from a crime scene, you can discern "Semi-autos converted to sub machine guns with auto sears".
How do you do that? How does that sound different from say, a stolen full auto weapon, or one smuggled into the country by the cartels?

Yep. Semi-autos converted to sub machine guns with auto sears. I’ve heard the recordings from crime scenes. It’s real. Not entirely. Once the home workshops turning out semi-auto handguns were outlawed, they turned to other products. Next step: grenades and light antitank rocket launchers.

Semi-autos converted to sub machine guns with auto sears. It's not that simple. There's headspace and timing issues that need to be solved. It's probably easier to smuggle a full-auto into the country, or completely build one from scratch, than it is to convert a commercially-available semi-auto to full auto with drop-in parts.
