The committee, which recently obtained documents from the General Services Administration, found that Trump reported his hotel in downtown D.C. brought in $150 million in income while he served in the White House, but the hotel actually incurred more than $70 million in losses.

Well there goes any chance of Trump Organization getting the $500 million asking price for the hotel.

$150 million in income, and $3.7 million came from foreign
governments...

So they are concerned that 2.466% of the hotel income was
enough to buy the Trump presidency.

And what did Hunter’s payments to Joseph Stolen buy?

I’ll bet it was more than 2.466% of Joseph’s income.

Do they mention that he donated his presidential salary to charity for each of the 4 years he was in office?

No one cares about the hotel crap

Biden- does he report his ‘earnings’ from China?

“...$150 million in income while he served in the White House, but the hotel actually incurred more than $70 million in losses....”

A “loss” means his expenditures were greater than his income...

$150 million in income doesn’t mean $150 million in “profits”...

Lots of foreign officials donated money to Clinton’s charity (which somehow made the clintons rich) right up until the day she didn’t win the White House. Then the donations all dried up. Yet nobody in DC seems to find this curious in any way.

This is “boob bait” for Trump haters. A headline like this get clicks and suckers and losers fall for it.

A major part of the left-wing media & fundraising, is that career prosecutors are going to “take down” Trump and his family.
Its laughable. It will never happen.

Over at Daily Kos and DU the progressives are in rage at Garland for not prosecuting Trump and Trump Administration Officials. They want the AG to “manufacture crimes” and then prosecute Republicans.

“Wake me up when they actually have something.”
Until then:

Yawn..........ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz.

This a business and this lame ass FAKE NEWS BS article is playing to the terminally stupid by claiming the reported 70 million in gross receipts was all profit.

How about expenses such as operating costs including debt servicing, payroll, maintenance etc?

Trump saved this beautiful, historical building. They were going to destroy it. It’s awesome. I have an old postcard of the building.

Trump is a billionaire who lost money running for office, where is the investigation into politicians who became millionaires after being in office, on a 170K salary.

lol I thought Trump was going to get richer being POTUS? He gave away his salary and took a pay cut, currently dropping off the richest top 400 Americans for the first time in years, despite real estate prices soaring.

Of Course. Most Pols have their own family foundations. Whatever is that minimal amount of money that must be spent each year on charity can be spent by donating money to another pol’s charitable foundation. Then there can be a meeting at a five star resort to discuss a need and ways to fix it. They seldom do actually fix any problems or needs.

For years, every single Maddow viewer has been screaming about Trump hiding earnings from his hotels during his presidency. With this report, on a dime, they will start screaming the exact opposite and not even notice that their position changed.
