Air Force chief software officer Nicolas Chaillan wrote a scathing letter on LinkedIn saying that the reason he resigned was due to the fact that China had already won the tech war while the US was faced with bureaucracy.USAF

The Pentagon’s former software chief said he quit because China has already won the tech war guaranteeing global dominance — with some US government systems mere “kindergarten level” in comparison.

Nicolas Chaillan, 37, told the Financial Times on Sunday that there is “good reason to be angry” at the US failing to rise to China’s cyber threat, even fearing that it puts his children’s future at risk.

“We have no competing fighting chance against China in 15 to 20 years. Right now, it’s already a done deal; it is already over, in my opinion,” Nicolas Chaillan, 37, told the paper.

Perhaps America can regain our supremacy if we fire all the unvaccinated conservatives, anyone who disagrees with June Pride Month, and force everyone to take Critical Race Theory training?

If this is true then it is not the Chinese we have to fear, but the amoral AI that will escape from their labs.

“The US is also wasting time debating the ethics of AI while China makes “massive investment” and eschews such concerns, he said.”

That is disturbing demonstration of the acceptance of doing anything, and sacrificing anything, to “win”. Frankly, we’ve ‘eschewed’ enough ethics as it is.

AI has always scared the hell out of me. Glad I’m on the downward swing of life because the terminator type dystopian future seems like its on our horizon more and more. We (humans) just keep running towards it as fast as we can.

What’s disturbing is we are not fighting dirty like Chicoms. Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice. We didn’t make the rules of this war. Fight like our enemies or lose. There is no door number three here. It’s that simple.

Pathetic loser!

I just watched a documentary on the Yom Kippur war where the Israelis on the Golans Heights were vastly outnumbered but fought with smarts and courage and won a decisive victory.

Never ever quit.

I constantly end up fighting with troglodytes here on various threads who were in the US armed services back in the 1970’s who still think China’s military is the China of the 1970 or 1980’s.

Totally cluess and have their heads in the sand.

Thier new carrier is a joke! Ski ramp launch so their under powered fighters can’t go with a full weapons load as can our Hornets and Super Hornets. Dont make them 10 feet tall. They are not.

They will shut our military down in 10 seconds with their backdoor chips.

Today read Biden is thinking of buying drones from China for Federal use in our country. Yeah like no national security issue there.

Does not quite describe the current state of our leadership and military - think Afghanistan.

This was foreseeable In China, the best and brightest go into developing military intelligence technologies.

Our best and brightest become quants on Wall Street.

The US will be a superpower for some time if they focus on nuclear command and control. Like the lunatic uncle in the attic with one toy.

Might not have power distribution, water/sewer/garbage pickup in cities, transportation, etc., etc., but there you have it. Not pretty.

Takes two to fight. Biden and company won’t fight; other than for the CCP.
