Nile Gardiner: Why Britain can't stand Joe Biden
Fox News ^ | 10/14/21 | Nile Gardiner

Countless European officials have told me privately that they simply can’t trust the Biden presidency. Some are actually reminiscing about the Trump days, with a high degree of buyer’s remorse – even in Paris.

I suspect that anti-Biden sentiment in the democratic world outside the U.S. is probably highest in the U.K., where there already existed a considerable degree of skepticism even before he became president. President Trump had a significant amount of support from Brexiteers, and was seen by sections of the Conservative Party as a strong British ally.

Trump’s administration was arguably the most pro-British since the Reagan presidency of the 1980s, when the partnership between the United States and United Kingdom was at its peak. Many leading Trump officials, including Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley were, and remain today, stalwart allies of the United Kingdom.

I have traveled twice to London in the past few weeks, meeting with dozens of officials, members of Parliament and political advisers, as well as newspaper editors, media commentators and think tank experts. I can barely recall a single positive word said about Biden and his presidency. I doubt that any American president in the modern era has been more unpopular in the U.K. with those who are directly shaping British policy.

And the condemnation of Biden is not only on the right. One senior figure in the House of Commons told me she could not think of a single MP of any party who would stand up and defend Joe Biden

Not to worry, he has plenty of members of congress who will!

Half of them have an (R) after their names. *sigh*

And should there be a Trump-Biden rematch in 2024, 95% of them would back Biden again.

The UK should love Biden. Just buy some of Hunter’s art, and see what hoops he’ll jump through for them. Biden has a big “For Sale” sign on his forehead. They should be able to take advantage of that.

The real message is: This is the American Democrat party.

Biden isn’t running anything. Biden is an empty headed, corrupt pervert. Biden is a prime example of a pole turtle.

Democrat voters are likely to dismiss Biden as a mistake, but expect a different result with another Democrat. The reality is, this policy, ineptitude and corruption is what you get with Democrat politicians, any Democrat politician.

Bunch of ignorant Brit leaders and royalty did all they could to hurt Trump. The UK is no “ally” of America. Not after all they did to smear Trump in 2016 and to harm his presidency and reelection.

Screw them.

Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal, without appatently consulting our NATO allies was probably shocking to them. We left men and women who fought with us in a difficult & dangerous position.

Its all part of the plan for any negativity to be aimed at biden. Has he ever really cared what people think of him? No! And now he has what he has always wanted, to be POTUS and sit and watch as his family does whatever they want. Meanwhile in the background the leftists finish their fundamental transformation of the USA and the world. The world burns while biden fiddles!

Didn’t Biden say “America is back!”, and many around the world welcomed him?

The part that the rest of the world didn’t understand is that, Biden really meant what he said, and America is back to the ‘good old days of the Obama years’. So, America is back to being disrespected and viewed as untrustworthy ally, and Biden meant it.

Democrats want war on Republicans. These idiot Euros actually believed the gaslighting rhetoric about Putin and Russia. Outside of the foreign policy wonks Dems couldn’t care less about that stuff. They are domestic policy 24/7/365.

We have no allies. At least none that do do anything for us. Any NATO effort in Afghanistan was solely to give them a seat at the table to help control us and to give their own pathetic militarily officers a “joint operations” stamp in their ticket.

Brits, Germans, and other undesirables would be unable to chime in on things if they did not send a token force to join in at the FOB.
