Never EVER forget. Drain the Swamp threatens the GOPe like nothing ever has.

They have discovered they are a miniscule minority and are utterly desperate. Conservative is defined as:

Drain the Swamp
Build the Wall
America First in All Things
Pro Life
Pro Gun

They HATE this. They want Conservative to be:

Lower Taxes
Sort of Pro Life
Sort of Pro Gun
Wars Forever

A freeper above said “If you endorse a Democrat, you’re not a Republican, period.”

If the GOPe controls the nominating process and will not allow a vote on a nomination MAGA replacement of a Romney type, then we MUST vote Democrat. It stops being politics at that point. It is personal. If Romney controls the nominating process in Utah and won’t allow a challenge in the primary, then it’s personal. He must be removed. Voting Dem would be the only way. It is NOTHING to do this with a 2 year house seat. Senate is 6 years and horrible, but there is no choice.

They’ve ALWAYS preferred democrats over conservatives.

Now it’s just out in the open.

But remember that we were always told to hold our noses and vote for their guys.

Well than that’s their own damn fault for being “fooled”. That doesn’t make it pointless to vote. It is up to the voters to get better informed.

“…then we MUST vote Democrat.”

No, that makes no sense.

The winning strategy is to disregard party affiliation and vote for the lesser of two evils.

If the lesser evil is the RINO, you vote for the RINO.
If the lesser evil is the Democrat, you vote for the Democrat.

Obviously, if you are repeatedly stuck with such a choice, and you want to do something about it, you may need to get more involved at the committee level so that you can influence the nomination process.

But once the primaries are over, and it’s time to vote in the general, political strategists and game theorists overwhelmingly agree that you must vote for the lesser of two evils.

Throwing your vote away, writing in a non-contender, or voting for the opposition are all acts of spite, and serve no strategic purpose.

On the contrary, spite is what personal opposition is all about. This becomes a personal matter. One doesn’t oppose the Swamp by becoming part of the Swamp “at the committee level”.

One opposes the swamp by erasing a creature from it. We’re talking about deep Red situations here. A traitorous Congress critter in red Wyoming must be erased. A traitorous Senator in Utah must be erased.

Collins? No other Republican could hold that seat. Leave her alone.

But a RINO in a Red seat is absolutely unacceptable and it is configured thus because some Swamp party official has arranged to defend him. Then it’s personal. Then you vote Dem and erase him, and then the party official.

There is NO loyalty to the GOP. They conform of they lose their Swamp money flow.

You make perfect sense until you advocate voting for Democrats - then your argument goes off the rails.

It is like telling a friend who hates seafood that if his steak is not cooked right, he must assert himself by ordering lobster.

If you don’t like the way they cook steak don’t order the steak - but there’s no sense in ordering something you like even less.

There is no less or more. It’s not politics.

It’s personal. That individual must be removed. There’s no relativism about it.

A freeper above said “If you endorse a Democrat, you’re not a Republican, period.”

Who said I was a Republican?

The GOP believes in and will fight for:

1) Open borders
2) A global open market in labor
3) Offshoring productive industries
4) Financialization of the economy
5)) Severing the medium of exchange function of money from the store of value function.
6) Usury as the main engine of consumption.
7) Denying the people their natural, healthy love of their nation
8) Overseas wars on behalf of alien peoples without recompense for our sacrifice.
9) Forced "diversity" with its attendent decline in standards and inevitably accompanying violence.

I don't believe in ANY of those things. Do you?

Yes, they’ve been doing this to us for decades now. They threw away the Goldwaterites, the evangelicals, the Reagan Coalition, the Tea Party, and now Trump supporters.
