Conservative MP Sir David Amess has died after being stabbed multiple times at his constituency surgery in Essex.

Police said a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder after the attack at a church in Leigh-on-Sea.

They recovered a knife and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. A counter terrorism team will lead the investigation.

We might not hear anything more about this killer after the next few weeks. The story will most probably vanish down the memory hole after a while.

I believe this to be an important story. A Somali jihadist assassinates a member of Parliament, a conservative, pro-life Catholic in fact. The story should be accessible to people browsing FR, not buried in the archives.

I believe if you find the motivation, it is 1400 years old, and the victim didn't believe there is only one God(Allah) and Muhammed is HIS prophet.
