I googled ‘most expensive gas in California’.

Got a station in Fresno at $4.90.

This place is so out of the way they don’t know about it.

People heading south would have filled up in Monterrey or Carmel. They are probably catching the ones from LA going north who are getting scared they wont it to those.

Wow, nearly $5.00 per gallon? What a deal!!

I paid 3.07 the other day in AZ...And the clerks were not from India, or Ustinkistan. ☺

I live two hours north of Fresno and we paid $4.60 for gas last night, and this was the cheapest grade. I worked at a farmer’s cooperative between college years and I could fill up at $0.25 a gallon. Took a drive later that year and was scandalized to find gas selling for $0.50, of course the gasoline was located at the edge of the Primitive Area along a gravel road bounded by cliffs on one side and the Salmon River on the other and the gasoline pump was one of those which had to be pumped into the glass tank on top before draining into your car. This was in the early 70s. It was a great drive. There were ranches on the other side of the river which could only be reached by little cable cars from the road side and all their mail was airmail.
