Read the eyebrow-raising story McAuliffe's team wants to keep buried, asking our reporter to help 'kill'

Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe's campaign raised eyebrows by spending nearly $60,000 to hire a high-profile attorney known for masterminding election-related legal challenges. When Fox News sent the campaign a request for comment, the McAuliffe campaign scrambled to "kill" the story, according to emails mistakenly sent to Fox News.

Less than a month before Election Day, McAuliffe's campaign spent $53,680 on the services of the Elias Law Group, a firm that Marc Elias started earlier this year, Fox News previously reported. Elias had formerly worked as a partner at the law firm Perkins Coie, which the Hillary Clinton campaign hired in 2016 in order to conduct opposition research on Donald Trump – research that included the infamous Christopher Steele dossier. Republicans have accused Elias of lying to hide the Clinton campaign's role in funding the dossier.

...

"McAuliffe may be preparing to challenge any win by Republican Glenn Youngkin," he wrote on Twitter.

Fox News reached out to the McAuliffe campaign for comment on Turley's suggestion. McAuliffe spoksperson Christina Freundlich responded to the email with a message apparently meant for colleagues, not for Fox News.

"Can we try to kill this," Freundlich wrote.

The other day the McAuliff campaign made a formal complaint saying that the USPO is holding back 15,000 mail-in ballots.

They will use that, no doubt, to get a court to extend the vote counting completion date so they can do their well practiced vote finding tricks.

The only mistake made here is the Fox News reporter let the cat out of the bag by accidentally disclosing that Fox News was being forewarned they were (once again) included in the Democrat cheat loop...And to shut up about it.

I wonder where this Fox News reporter will be working next week.

He was ahead in the polls prior to the September 28th debate. His comment about parents rights started the slide, then he hires the sleaze of sleazes Marc Elias!

He is a clown. He was on Morning Joe in 2008 claiming that Hillary was going to win the Primary after she had lost 18 states in a row, and Pat Buchanan was laughing at him.

It has already started. You can bet that a vote audit will have to be performed because the Dems are not going down easily unless there is a major spread in the vote count. The Dems will do what it takes to win if they lose with under a 100,000 vote spread.

If McAuliffe goes down in Virginia it will send the dems nation wide a message that 2022 will be devastating and that they had better change their tunes quickly. Or else somehow getting ready their resumes.

Exactly,
They got away with everything in 2020. There should be no reason not to win this one.
In 2020 Trump was ahead by a mile in the state of pencil vania and what do you know??? in a few days the I’m still counting here! (Petulancy emphasized) won it for brandon.
The new dominion has been doing this for years with last minute reporting. Now with the flu flu and liberalism diseases they’ve gotten more time to cheat.
