FSA actually does a lot for midwest corn/beans farmers. I know a couple. Having to drive to the state capitol to talk to an FSA loan officer is going to be a real pain for them.
“Does a lot for farmers” — as in shower them with money? What else does FedGov do for farming?
Believe it or not, there was a serious need for these type of workers back in the day. Mom didn't even look for the job; they recruited her. She had the education, but couldn't drive. They gave her a three day training course and turned her loose.
That was a few years ago when public service meant you were supposed to serve the public, not that the public was supposed to serve you.
