Leaders at the G20 summit of the world’s biggest economies reached a compromise agreement on Sunday to achieve carbon neutrality “by or around mid-century,” laying a foundation for a United Nations conference in Scotland on climate change.
The Group of 20 leaders released a communique on Sunday, the second and final day of the summit, that called for halting the financing of coal-fired power generators abroad by the end of the year but did not set a target for phasing out coal domestically – a concession to top polluters China and India, the Associated Press reported.
The G20 countries – including the US, China, Brazil, Germany and India – represent more than three-quarters of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions.

Greta is not impressed.
She has been critical of setting goals which are to be achieved years from now. She takes the position that we have to reduce carbon output immediately.
She is supposed to be at the Glasgow conference. I wonder if she will bleat “how dare you” at us as she lectures us that we have stolen her dreams and her childhood.
What a joke! But a joke that will cost taxpayers trillions of dollars to undermine the stability of the electric grid, transportation system, energy prices, and every other modern convenience. These idiots ruin everything that they touch.

We have more known BTUs of coal reserves in this country than oil and natural gas by a factor of around ten. Hamstringing our future by locking up this plentiful energy source is crazy.
I wonder how much of the cost to eliminate CO2 emissions has Biden pledged the USA will pay for.
They pat themselves on the back for pretending to “do good”, go home and start lining up the next campaign contributions from the various “green” industries, sell their promises to the public, which they know won’t be kept, and pass tax credits and subsidies to any manufacturers and consumers agreeing to go along with “green” mandates.
