Senior FBI officials are reportedly defending the bureau’s actions before the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, contending that many warnings appeared to be protected free speech because of their “aspirational” nature.
In an extensive report published by The Washington Post, senior FBI officials argued in interviews and statements that the concerning discussions they observed online were largely “aspirational,” and thus safeguarded free speech in accordance with the First Amendment.
They also said the observed chatter did not include thorough evidence that planning was underway, according to the Post, which was needed to set an investigation into motion.

Why would the FBI need to warn themselves of something they probably were involved in planning?
You mean to tell me they were afraid of FREE SPEECH??

Security was the fresponsibility of Pelosi and I believe Trump requested additional security that day and Pelosi refused.

Since the LEGAL “Right to Petition” gathering on 6 Jan. 2021, the various government agencies have been using the enthusiastic LEFT MSM to put out their BIASED view/justifications on the same. Considering that the only court cases on this to date have been the plea deals, the government has yet to reveal much where ‘statements’ are subject to cross-examinations!
One thing that I am sure of, the SWAMP wants a brass-band SHOW TRIAL of the one or more defendants in summer of 2022 to lead into the 2022 elections! The gathering did have some disruptive members for feeding to the media!
So I guess parents standing up to school boards wasn’t “aspirational” but real terrorists threats.
I wonder if the ISIS warnings this past weekend in VA were not “aspirational?” I wonder if the FBI could identify what language differences happened between the two.
YES IT WAS INSPIRATIONAL. IT APPEARS THAT FBI PROVOCATEURS WERE PART OF THE INSPIRATION.

The point is not whether the individual voices were breaking the law, but whether those many voices were supplying evidence that Jan 6 might get rowdy and might have behind-the-scenes instigators. The FBI is giving an excuse for ignoring evidence.
But as others have said, the FBI is probably trying to some things that went on.
The FBI did not want too many police because it might spoil the faux uprising instituted by their undercover agents and paid rioters.
Because the "planning" was all being done internally by the Falseflag Bureau of Instigation.
So I guess there was no conspiracy. Case closed.
If we here on FR suspected that there was going to be trouble from BLM, etc, you know the FBI knew.

The “aspirational” chatter that they received was likely being generated by FBI undercover agents or informants and so it was ignored.
