Not true. The Russians would side with them in a pinch. So would North Korea. In an “all out” war China would be tough to beat.
Remember the old Cold War quip: What's the only country in the world surrounded by hostile communist neighbors? The Soviet Union.
Clocking in at cool 1.3B just how many allies do they need?
No. Russia would sit it out. North Korea? Really?
Okay how about Japan, Vietnam, India, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia?
I count at least three nuclear armed countries there. If you don’t think Taiwan and Japan have nukes, see my previous posts where I was proven correct.
Let’s just throw France, and the UK who also have nukes.
Mind you this is the scenario where the US sits it out.
Pakistan has nukes and India will destroy them first thing before engaging China.
You think Putin and Russia would side with the Chicoms? They would stand as the biggest benficiaries to a destroyed China.
India has as many people. What’s your point? Are they going to send them over on fishing boats? How many of them are a fighting force? How many ever fired a gun? How many know how to operate heavy machinery?
They need a nuclear sub. They don’t have one.
Meh, the Chinese have always thrived on sheer numbers anyhow. When a Chinese wave can bum rush a few 30-cal machine gun pits and still have overwhelming numbers to take those pits/positions simply because the 30-cal machine gun barrels over-heated, go figure. /s
Got news for you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jin-class_submarine
What part of “under development” don’t you understand? Leave me alone. Idiot.
They have four to six Type 094 nuclear powered boomers actually in the water and on patrol. It’s the Type 096 that’s under development and not deployed.
Read the link, dude.
First of all Wikipedia is not a source. At best it is Chicom propaganda. 2nd of all they do not have a nuclear sub. Your “source” said so.
My bad. They have noisy pieces of shit that are no good. But hey they’re nuclear powered.

Basically useless in their purpose. Apologies.
Wikipedia references other articles through the citations, and the US Navy itself says they do. https://irp.fas.org/agency/oni/pla-navy.pdf
Didn’t say they were any good, was just pointing out that they do, indeed, have nuke boats.
That said, I have read some speculation that the Type 094s may be artificially noisier than they actually are. After all, China is known to have stolen/bought a lot of the tech from Russia that made Russian boomers quieter in the 80s. It’s possible that there’s a noisemaker on their later boats that can be switched off in a war scenario making the boat a lot quieter. Not sure how much credence to give to that, but it’s a nasty possibility.
Possibly but Russian sub tech is far from ideal. There’s a few of them leaking nuclear material at the bottom of the Atlantic.
Thanks for not hammering me for my rudeness. I just thought you were trolling with Wikipedia.
I don’t disagree about the Russian sub tech being less than top notch, but it’s not something to laugh off either.
The point is that the US Navy’s public declaration of the noise levels of the Chinese 094 boats (similar to late-70s Soviet Delta-III boats prior to the underhanded Toshiba machining tech transfer to Russia) doesn’t match up with the tech they’re known to have or have access to. A slowly increasing number of people are apparently getting suspicious about that.
I’ll defer to your knowledge.
Don’t worry. Biden will fix it. Biden will insure that China’s fighter pilot training is vastly improved.
To be clear, the “noisemaker” scenario is purely speculation so far. I don’t think the boats are possibly good enough to go as silent as a US or Western sub, but having their sonic signature suddenly change and ‘disappear’ (until the new lower values could be reacquired) could be a nasty surprise at the wrong time.
-shrug- Anyway, wasn’t trying to be a jerk, was literally just trying to make sure you knew they actually have some now. How good the boats actually are is an unknown value.
I'd be willing to bet that Taiwan and Japan could develop a nuke if they wanted one but I'd wager that they don't have one.
China is dangerous in ways, and to a degree, that the USSR never even dreamed of.
