I assume it flooded the market with pelts.... Nope.
You have to harvest when the pelts are at peak which is not when they were killed and you have killed off all the breeding stock.
These were not wild mink but carefully bred for color, size, coat thickness and other things that make a pelt worth more.
But sure, no harm done.
Same as when the Germans killed all the Alderneys and wiped out the breed.
No loss at all.
