I spent some time in Dearborn in 2019.

Gotta give the Muslims credit. They keep it super clean, I felt safe from crime, did not see any Sharia law and the Muslims are entreprenurial. They were friendly to our group.

They are reclaiming the black slums in different areas.

I got the impression they do not like blacks very much.

The 1914 opening of the Dodge Brothers auto plant led to the massive Dodge Main plant (which with a Polish accent was called Dotch Main——quoted in a New York Mag. article I remember) which employed many thousands for decades. Polish majority slipped away through the years recently.

Hamtramck is not a hell hole or anything. I've been to their annual festival / street party. It's great. Lots of Polish, Greek and other foods, music, drinking.

I believe you could walk freely and safely wearing whatever pin you like.
