Hamtramck is certainly now on my bucket list of American cities to visit! (Even if XiJinBiden won’t let the unvaxxed in, and True-dolt won’t let anyone fly commercial or take a commercial vessel, without the vax.) Visiting Hamtramck is right up there on my list, alongside visiting Qom, Iran, while wearing an Israeli flag pin!

Hamtramck is not a hell hole or anything. I've been to their annual festival / street party. It's great. Lots of Polish, Greek and other foods, music, drinking.

I believe you could walk freely and safely wearing whatever pin you like.

I wonder if the Muslim council will shut down the bars. There is one that has had for many decades, the best jukebox in these states mostly between Canada and Mexico. Still there, now doing business as The Painted Lady Lounge. Make special note of the one-star reviews - they are precious. “Bar allows smoking and it’s a total dump.” 5-star: “This is absolutely the best spot in Hamtramck. This bar is right down the block from Keyworth Stadium and literally has the best whiskey available in the Detroit area.”
