How is “Asian” a meaningful category? A Mongolian isn’t the same as a Pakistani. For that matter, how is POC a meaningful category? A Guatemalan isn’t the same as an African. They are going to a lot of trouble when they could just say “non-white,” but I guess they would see that as a problem because it makes “white” as the standard. The thing is that’s what they are doing anyway.
