“The Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) should not be used to manipulate the crude oil market or product markets.
That is the long-held view of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), the organization’s chief operating officer, Jeff Eshelman, highlighted in a statement sent to Rigzone recently.
“It should be a safety net in case of disruption of crude oil supplies. Policy makers should oppose all non-emergency sales of oil,” Eshelman said.

It’s all intentional. You cannot make a case for solar and wind at current prices. Oil has to be cut off, gas has to be $5/gallon. This is all to get to their green dream, while poor and middle class suffer. ... and while they offer no alternative in power so that’s going to be fun when all cars are electric and our grid cannot handle it.
Need more verification that this is happening. Doubt that no one in Congress is aware of it.
What’s 10% of the value of the SPR?
This is no different than using the military for their own social agenda. Why have a reserve if you’re not going to use it? Jimmy Carters’ idea. Do you think he’d tap into his own baby? Al Gore did the same in an election year-2000. It’s all one and the same. Power is to be used with these folks. Remember the parade where military men had to walk in pink high-heels? I still don’t believe it’s possible.

When all the oil and SPR is gone they will have to refill the supplies at market price from whoever now does that make any sense whatsoever
