OMG. I just bought an 8 pack of razor blades and 2 tubes of toothpaste in the DC area. The bill was $48. Dang.
She’s talking about the people who inhabit her liberal bubble. She’s vaguely aware that there are people outside of her bubble, but is only sure of the fact that they don’t matter. Just so you can wrap your mind around it - this makeup-laden airhead makes 1000 dollars an hour, not including benefits.

One of the few things here (Thailand) that is more expensive than the US are razor blades. Razor blades have always been stupid expensive, but here they are crazy.
A 4-pack of Mach 3 blades here is THB565 -- $17.28 at the current exchange rate.
Let us say that I shepherd the blades I brought with me (A Costco pack) from the States like they were made of solid gold.
