I don’t think U.S. Senators care one way or the other. They are all members of the club and only play partisan for the cameras.
True enough, but when you’re in the minority the power and the perks disappear, and the funding goes with them. Being a senate committee chairman is a very powerful position. Being just a member...especially a minority member.... of the committee, not so much.
