Judge Alison Nathan is likely to be nominated to the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit
The federal judge overseeing British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex trafficking case is set to be recommended for higher court – sparking concerns about possible ethical conflicts.
New York Senator Chuck Schumer announced on Tuesday he is going to recommend to President Joe Biden that he nominate Alison J. Nathan, 49, to the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

No need for Maxwell to harm herself. The coincidence of Schumer recommending the trial judge for elevation to the Second Circuit will be sufficient to protect the power elite for the mud that Maxwell’s team may have planned to throw during the trial. I suspect the judge will keep a tight rein on defense cross examination and will find many areas to be irrelevant or of such marginal relevance that to admit the evidence would unfairly prejudice the jury against the prosecution. On the bright side, the length of the trial has just been reduced dramatically.
If you’re wondering what took FBI agents so long to arrest Ghislaine Maxwell, maybe it was only today they discovered her garage door has a rope pull that’s not a noose but slightly resembles one.
