Around 35,000 people, according to the estimate of the police of the Brussels-Ixelles, gathered on Sunday at 1300 in front of the Gare du Nord in Brussels for the demonstration entitled "Together for Freedom".
Incidents broke out in the middle of the demonstration, the police had to deploy tear gas and water cannons to disperse some demonstrators. Many damages are reported on social networks: cars and police combis damaged, barricades on fire.
Around 5 pm Brussels police had reported the demonstration had been dissolved, and that they were arresting rioters, some of whom were gathered in the Parc du Cinquantenaire by the police.
