The Chinese will have a different approach than the US to hostages. Where we want to save every life, China will see an “opportunity”. They wont care an ounce about the kidnapped Chinese. Then when they are killed, they will use it as an excuse to declare an atrocity and take actions in the country and squeeze it worse than before.
that, or they will quietly send in their special forces to kill the kidnappers without a word of publicity. Then suddenly the governmental powers will bring the Chinese back in.
