Here we go again.
Gov. Kathy Hochul signed an executive order Friday to postpone elective hospital surgeries — something that hasn’t been done since the worst of the initial coronavirus outbreak last year.
Hochul said she made the move to deal with staffing shortages and boost bed capacity amid an anticipated “spike” in new cases and the emergence of the new Omicron variant in South Africa. The strain is named after a letter of the Greek alphabet.
“We’ve taken extraordinary action to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and combat this pandemic. However, we continue to see warning signs of spikes this upcoming winter, and while the new Omicron variant has yet to be detected in New York State, it’s coming,” Hochul said.

Has NOTHING to do with the Omicron variant.
It has EVERYTHING to do with the fact that she, single-handedly, has destroyed the health care industry in her state by demanding health care people get vaxxed with experimental medicine and they’ve quit rather than comply.
She’s a fool and a clear and present danger to the great state of New York.
And thoughts of extreme lockdowns danced in her head.
Lol.. covering up staffing shortages due to the mandate.

Step 1: Governor stops elective surgery. Person who needs heart shunt or bypass can’t get it.
Step 2: Person dies while waiting for re-opening of surgery scheduling.
Step 3: Person died without getting Covid so Governor is using them on a list for her award for saving lives from Covid deaths.
Remember the Cuomo book on how he handled Covid the right way to save lives for NY people endangered by Trump’s wrong ways? Still went into nonfiction instead of fantasy fiction shelving.

Some revisionist history. The state of Florida cancelled most elective surgery from April through June of 2020, expecting huge numbers of CCP virus patients. It never happened and the hospitals lost out on the $$$ the elective surgeries would have brought in as well as the $$$ they were expecting from the CCP virus.
These people are insane.

It’s time we start calling the vilification and discrimination of unvaccinated what it is: bigotry. And those who support and perpetuate it are bigots.
What about things like meniscus surgery?
All the best hospitals are run by know-nothing politicians.
As has already been mentioned the staffing shortages are a self inflicted wound. But boosting bed capacity? This does no such thing and it was put in there to sound good.
Gov. Hochul, go out to the dumps and retrieve all those unopened ventilators that Cuomo wrang out of President Trump and then dumped in those landfills when he found they were never really needed.
