What will happen to shopping malls, if decent law abiding people are afraid to go in a mall?
There’s a site about dead malls on the internet somewhere. And some of those malls, such as Landover Mall in Maryland, closed down due to unsavory people scaring off legitimate shoppers. Eventually stores closed down because of the lack of business in those malls which had a bad reputation.
Malls are detestable anyway and lots will close for lack of business.

Here’s the process.
1. Build a mall in the suburbs.
2. Make lots money including sales tax.
3. Extend the subway line from inner city to mall.
4. Kiss mall goodbye.
