The unions won't allow it.
But imagine if it could happen. A drill instructor in the mold of R. Lee Ermey screaming in the face of some kid who thinks he’s tough shit.

Most union members would love to have Marine drill instructors involved. I taught for awhile in an urban high school that had a junior ROTC program. We teachers loved the program. An ROTC kid was a good kid.
That school was a mess. But not the wing of the school that housed the ROTC classes. The ROTC drill sergeant (a retired Army sergeant) controlled that wing. He took no guff from any kid. That guy was awesome.
Lucky was the teacher who had a classroom in that wing of the school.
The unions won’t allow it.

Oh they would allow it, but the students would tell the Drill Instructor to “!@#$ off!” the second he got bossy. If the Instructor laid one hand on the student, he be sued into oblivion. IT’s doubtful that the administtration would back him very much. I teach at an at-risk school of nothing but tribulnaled students. We’ve had conservative disciplinarians be substitute teachers only to leave mid-day (without pay) after they see how hopeless the whole situation is.
