California will impose a statewide mask mandate in all indoor public spaces as COVID-19 case rates soar, state Secretary of Health and Human Services Mark Ghaly said on Monday...
The mandate, which will take effect on Wednesday and last one month...
In addition to requiring masks, the state is tightening its testing requirements for unvaccinated people who want to attend large events such as music festivals and professional ball games where more than 1,000 people are in attendance.
The state is also recommending that all travelers to the state be tested for COVID-19 within three to five days of arrival, Ghaly said.

So cases “jumped” from to 14 per 100000 people?
So it jumped from roughly 7 per 100000 and now mandates.
So for 7 per 100000 people they decided that every one in the state should wear masks. Sounds about right to me.......

From my perspective living in LA County, 99.9% of Californians will willingly comply.
I’m in CA in a very blue county and didn’t realize the state indoor mask mandate was ever lifted (since a brief 3 week period in the summer when it was).
I just figured most counties and stores and restaurants were just ignoring it. I only wear a mask when I have no choice: doctors’ offices, and airplanes. If a store or restaurant says something about my masklessness, or checks for a vax card (even though I have one), I just don’t go back there ever again. There have been and are PLENTY of stores and restaurants (even in my deep blue county) that don’t enforce mandates—so far.

If we all just comply, NEXT Christmas we can finally get back to normal. So in 28 more days, just 30 more days and repeat.
how long before CA goes back into full lockdown?
They had their chance to get rid of Grusome and didn’t take it.
They’re going to try to keep this thing going through the mid-terms. Gives them the excuse to have only mail-in ballots.
Voting by mail was signed into law by newsom right after the recall.
I think California ought to go on full shutdown. NO ONE works. Not even at grocery stores or gas stations. It’s for the children. And think of all the fossil fuels they will save! Stop COVID. Just....STOP!
When all the Californians are dead, we can send teams in to eradicate any survivors hiding in basements and then make it a paradise again.
