"For anyone questioning former President Donald Trump’s lock on the Republican Party after his 2020 loss, look no further than the impact his endorsement packs.

In new polling of several House Republican primary races, a Trump endorsement pushes 2022 candidates past 50%, even against long-established incumbents such as Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney.

“The Trump endorsement is a true dagger,” said Zachary Moyle of SoCo Strategies. “Trump is the king of kingmakers.”

In last month’s elections, for example, Trump-endorsed candidates went four for four.

And according to Brian Jack, the former White House political director, Trump’s 2020 record was 120-2, and this year, it is 17-1.

“Results don’t lie,” he said. “The power of President Trump’s endorsement is undeniable.” ..."

Other than those 3 losses, trusting Pence (who literally waited until the last minute to reveal his RINOness) and listening to Fauci, Trump’s record is pretty good!

I am as much a Pro Trumper as anyone but let’s be honest....his record in choosing subordinates has not been very good.

Its somewhat understandable. He came into office without a whole movement behind him. The only people he could staff his administration with were holdover Bushies and other assorted RINOs for the most part. Neither he nor we realized the lengths they would go to in order to stab him and us in the back.

He made a major effort to make peace with the RINO establishment in Congress. He even largely deferred to the Turtle when it came to judicial nominees including ACB. Also, some of his hangers-on from New York were self serving opportunists of low character. Think Omarosa. Think Cohen.

What Trump needs is for there to be a whole MAGA army behind him next time - and for us to do our part by slaughtering RINOs in the primaries without mercy.

Agreed - but since in fact Trump conducted a hostile takeover of the GoP for the purpose of applying the GoP brand to the Reform Party, Trump had no real reason to expect anything else.

The real problem was, IMHO, the FBI . . . which had possession of the Hunter Biden laptop even as the Pelosicrats were conducting an impeachment trial of DJT on the basis that inquiring into the Biden family finances was an abuse of power.

Of course the central political problem is “the media” - that is, journalism united (think, UPI) / associated (AP) and loosed to promote its own agenda by the 1964 New York Times Co. v. Sullivan decision of the Warren Court.

We all love us some First Amendment, but in asserting that

". . . libel can claim no talismanic immunity from constitutional limitations. It must be measured by standards that satisfy the First Amendment”
the Warren Court committed exactly the abuse which the Federalists warned of when they opposed putting a bill of rights in the Constitution. Namely, the use of the absence of explicit enumeration of a particular right as occasion to repudiate that right.

The Federalsts knew that recognition of a right emerges out of Common Law - and that not only did an enumeration of all rights not exist at the time, it would be a fool’s errand to try to create such an enumeration. And that an attempt to create such a list risked producing more controversy than the absence of such from the Constitution had been used by the Antifederalists to create.

Sullivan (unanimously, with enthusiastic concurrences) held that public officials (including judges) presumptively could not sue for libel. The fallacy lay in the fact that no one had believed that, from the founding of the Republic up until 1964.

Amendment 9
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
rejects the notion that the fact that the right to sue for libel is not in the First Amendment implies that it was extinguished or modified by it.

Sullivan has produced the spectacle of associated, even united, pressespropaganda organs not only vociferously libeling Republican politicians but bluntly denying the finding of fact by a jury. And claiming that united journalists, and united journalists alone say what is and is not true.

Trump is going about the laborious task of restructuring the legislature which is necessary in order to move forward with the great awakening. We are moving from dark to light. It seems slow but all of the deep state must be removed or they will just corrupt the new system that is going to be brought in.
