The record-shattering 9.6 percent rise in producer prices indicates a startling level of inflation inflicting the U.S. economy.

Things are even worse once you get beyond the headlines. Further out on the supply chains, prices are rising even more rapidly, suggesting that product shortages and even more inflation are yet to come.

Gold, silver, and bitcoin are not rising, so I would guess it is temporary inflation.

Democrats are running the show. They have to run out the clock or fix this right away. It’s clear they are going to milk COVID through the election.

That’s how bad it’s going to get.

Remember when Jimmy Carter was President, inflation was Rampant, the only thing that was good about it if you had savings in the bank, interest rates on 6 month cds was 15%.
Now it seems the only things that get inflated are your necessities of life, gas, food, rent, cars, bank accounts pinterest just goes down, nice for the banks

That won't happen this time - no matter how high the rates go. Banks don't want your worthless cash at all, and certainly won't be willing to pay you for it.

Cheer up folks… Biden has only been in office for less than a year.

Consider where we will be three years from now…

The only way to chocked Inflation is to do what Reagan did in 1981, choke the money supply, that causes a recession.

So it’s 1979 right now. Wait until the interest rates explode to try to tame it.

“… interest rates on 6 month cds was 15%.”

I lived through it.

After taxes (pre-Reagan high tax rates) and high inflation you still lost out. Granted, locking in a 10 year CD at 10-12% was cool….if the bank or Savings & Loan stayed in business.
