While on leave to visit his five children, Ray was pulled over by the police and dragged out of his car at gunpoint. As he lay face down on the pavement, they told him he was under arrest — for the murder of a girl he’d never met.
Ray had been in the parking lot that night. While studying to be a U.S. Marshal, he was moonlighting as an unarmed security guard. It was his second day on the job. He heard gunshots, took cover, and radioed for help.
When police arrived, they didn’t treat Ray as a suspect. If they had simply checked him for a firearm, he could have immediately been excluded as the killer. Instead, their incompetence would ruin his life.
Weeks after the shooting, detectives asked Ray to come in for an interview. He wanted to help them solve the murder, so he told them all his theories about how it happened. They decided he “knew too much,” so he must be the killer.
Because Ray expressed no remorse for the murder he didn’t commit, the Court showed him no mercy. He was sentenced to life in prison. He would not be eligible for parole until he was over 70 years old. His life was over. His children would grow up without a father.

I have a story the world needs to hear. It’s about how an American hero, Sgt. Ray Jennings, was railroaded for murder by corrupt politicians and the FBI. And how God used me as an instrument to free him from prison and clear his name. Clint Ehrlich
Ray Jennings was exonerated after serving 11 years of incarceration being wrongly convicted.
Exactly how does one “study to be a US Marshal”?
You study for the exam:

Here is a study guide:

Scary story.
Once again, a common theme - the federal biased incompetents / federal biased intimidators were involved. Eliminate the organization, tear down its buildings and salt the earth they stood on.
Shoot, those guys need to know the law better than most lawyers. Lots and lots of studying involved. I’m guessing, because I really don’t know, that he was either in the academy or getting ready to go.
This kind of misuse of the justice system happens every day, especially where there is one mentally ill witness, or no witness at all. NEVER speak to the police without a lawyer, even to be helpful. Try not to be aggressive about asserting your rights, because the police can still wreck your life just by an arrest with a trial coming years later.
The fact that at the 3rd trial (2 Mistrials) was moved to the locality of the crime where all of the publicity was heavy but the actual crime had been five years earlier was bad. The fact that the prosecutor said that the jury could PRESUME GUILT by Mr Jennings being in the same parking lot AND the judge staying silent is ABHORRENT! Every Perry Mason murder case, let alone other TV & movie depictions, say that unless the prosecution PROVES GUILT BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT then the jury must PRESUME INNOCENT. Shaking my head here.
Jury trials as just a scary thought - people with nothing better to do and not bright enough to avoid it, thinking that THEY have to punish SOMEONE for the crime... The defense had best work on the basis that it’s ‘guilty until proven innocent’ with those jackals.
The FBI should be disbanded by cutting funding 20% every year.
That would give states time to figure out how to fulfill any needs for additional policing.
I think everything should be turned over to the local sheriffs. That puts the problem in the hands of local voters.
Sheriffs could hire any FBI agents that were clean and capable and the rest of the ex-agents could be removed from law enforcement.
Bottom line:
This country is on the road to ruin and there is only one way to change the direction and that is to get rid of the Department of Education. end probably 90% of the grant money to universities, shut down the FBI and reduce the DOJ to a shadow of its present self.
And develop an honest, fraud free voting system.
Ignore those problems and we are finished as a republic.
