Subsidies, bankruptcy, same thing- no matter how offensive we find the rules, they are they are the rules and people use them to their advantage. I don’t think there should be any subsidies for anything, nor should anyone be able to avoid paying a debt period, end of subject, but I don’t make the rules.
Edison, Ford, neither of those guys were pleasant either, but they changed the country for the better.

Oh, I agree. If we are stupid enough to put them in place legally, I cannot fault capitalists for using them at all.
And...I feel that more of his subsidy usage is going into producing a product and not being funneled back in grift to the people who made the subsidy possible.

By “them”, I meant subsidies.
I feel the same way about taxes. If there are loopholes and people can exploit them and stay within the bounds of the law, I have no problem with that.

Hint: It's the basis of our Chapter 7 Bankruptcy laws.
