I can remember (mostly) where I was then. Headed to Mrs. Stuckey’s 8th grade Louisiana History class after lunch when we got the word.
Here’s a little fact that you might want to consider. Valeriy Kostakov, besides being a consul at the Russian Embassy, was also the KGB’s top agent-in-charge of Wet Ops, including assassinations, at the time he met Oswald. Was the FBI, CIA, and/or LBJ involved? The Cuban/mafia? Did the Secret Service accidently provide the Coupe de Grace?
Who know? I don’t but I wouldn’t put it past any or all of them. Was Kennedy privy to some intelligence info that has been conveniently hidden to this day? Who knows? The way things have turned out the only person I trust is me.

Here’s the one question I would ask. Knowing what we know of Oswald, would Russia or Cuba trust him to shoot Kennedy with a rifle from six or seven stories up (since the road declines as it approaches the underpass)? After all, he missed Gen. Walker which was an easier shot.
For the most part, Oswald was a loser and a screw-up. I could see him being set up as a patsy and I can see him doing the assassination totally on his own initiative but I don’t see a foreign government using him as some rogue assassin. He’s too undependable.
Besides, who was sent afterwards to shut him up? The Russians? The Cubans? No, it was the Mob.
I concluded that there were two conspiracies. The first was the plot to shoot JFK, most likely from the Mafia, and the second was a conspiracy to cover up the crime by FedGov because LBJ was afraid of the trail going back to Russia or Cuba, igniting a potential nuclear war. The second conspiracy probably didn’t know about the first conspiracy but they had to make damn sure it didn’t ignite a war.
There’s a book out called Dr. Mary’s Monkey. It’s mostly about what went on behind the scenes of the development of the two polio vaccines, but the last few chapters talk about Lee Harvey Oswald. After reading this book it gives serious doubts on Oswald being the gunman and more than likely he was a patsy.
IMHO, I do not think it outside the realm of possibility that the mafia could have colluded with elements of the fedgov/deep state. Both had strong interests in taking Cuba back from Castro, and getting rid of Kennedy.
I don't necessarily think LBJ was complicit, but he certainly didn't object to the outcome.
True. Despite his deification in America, JFK was a feckless dilettante who Khrushchev had already rolled twice, over the Berlin Wall and Cuban Missile Crisis.
If you want a conspiracy theory my money is on the Mafia or the CIA.

Most counter postings are now like this is a conspiracy to conceal a conspiracy resulting from a conspiracy.
