The Biden administration has warned COVID-19 test makers and labs that demand for tests could soon double or even triple, five people familiar with the situation told Politico.
The Health and Human Services Department’s Testing and Diagnostic Working Group shared an internal model with the diagnostic industry that projects the country needing more COVID-19 tests on top of the more than 1.6 million currently used daily.
The model shows 3 million to 5 million daily tests needed by January or February, an estimate that makes the assumption the omicron variant is three to five times more transmissible than delta and becomes the dominant variant in four weeks.

Is this the old, discredited test or some new one?
What happened to his plan to stop it in it’s tracks?
Joe, the Democrats and the CCP must be getting ready to release a new variant for the 2022 midterms.
Stop with the damn testing already.

I can’t find the article for reference just yet but Carson City NV has been awarded a contract and has built a mask manufacturing facility capable of making 600,000 masks a week. This was done many months ago, sooooo….
Is anyone asking them who benefits and makes money from this boondoggle? The C flu is over with, done, No longer a Pandemic, now a ScamDemic. No wonder the push for masks, someone is making billions on it, and I bet it is a bunch of Demoncrats.
I’ve never had a test. Will likely never have one. What for?
Was even quarantined for 14 days because of close exposure to someone having been tested positive for COVID. No tests on me.
Like masks, they don’t work. False positives everywhere and if you are really sick, why do you need a test to tell you are really sick?
They are going to need (want) test results, to allocate resources (like antibody treatments, for example).
If we get up to 500K or a million cases per day, demand may once again exceed supply.
Although apparently much milder, we may well get higher peak caseloads then we have seen so far - that seems to be what they are now projecting and preparing for.
