Hope that history will not repeat itself but this time the teens and others have absolutely no regard for laws or police, let alone for Jewish people. No longer a small group of impressionable violent types.

Oddly enough, my parents always used to say the SECOND black mayor of Chicago (as opposed to Adams, the second black mayor of NYC) was the last decent RAT mayor of Chicago.
It was Eugene Sawyer, who served from '87-'89. He was kinda the "Gerald Ford" of Chicago city politics, had a brief, UNELECTED, two-year tenure as mayor. Apparently the "black community" didn't like that he was such a low-key, soft-spoken guy who had little interest in demagoging or exploiting race-based politics.
I'm too young to remember the Eugene Sawyer era, but I do remember when the second Mayor Daley carved X's into Meigs Field overnight to force the airport to close when he couldn't do it legally, so it seems all the post-Sawyer RAT Mayors (Daley, Rahm, Beetlejuice) have been fascist totalitarian thugs.
On a related note, wasn't the first black Governor of Virginia (L. Douglas Wilder) considered to be a decent guy, despite being a RAT?
Re: Eric Adams. If I have to guess his tenure as Mayor may be like Naftali Bennett's tenure as Prime Minister. ON PAPER, his background is quite welcome and it seems like he's the "best we could get" in the current circumstances. Seems like a stand up guy. In reality, it looks like he's a weak leader who is probably going to continue rubber stamping a bunch of failed leftist policies.

Fixed that for you. It ain't the race, it's the ideology and the party. The last Democrat President not to *uck up the country was Grover Cleveland.

Sorry dude - white Democrats like Daley and LaGuardia still kept the streets clean and crime low. Name an African nation led by a black President or PM that have thriving economies.
Daley died 45 years ago this month. LaGuardia was a Republican, albeit a left-wing one. Those law and order urban Democrats are long dead. Even Philadelphia’s Rizzo became a Republican before he died.

Most every school here is closed now for close to 2 weeks for Christmas break time, not much need to shut em down now. in fact it’s a good time for this to hit with schools closed, not that there is a good time.
Even in a worse case scenario, I can't imagine black Democrat Adams doing as much damage as "white Republican" Lindsey.
And again, to use the Chicago example, I think Eugene Sawyer was better than any of his white successors. Mayor Beetlejuice is so awful she probably makes NYC's disaster David Dinkins seems milquetoast in comparison!
