Sen. Richard Blumenthal said Friday that, had he known that the awards ceremony in which he gave remarks last weekend was linked to the Communist Party, he would not have attended.

Why not?

I know....he’s already in the communist party.

Senator Blumenthal remains blithely unaware of these distinctions, and cannot be troubled to actually ascertain how the objectives of command-and-control philosophies differ in any way from his own. One of God’s children though he may be, still over time SOME kind of judgment about the relative worth of given points of view should have evolved, if for no other reason than personal growth and maturity.

But, of course, no such self-awareness has ever emerged.
