Three of our local mom and pop stores had toy drives. That is where I donated. The local churches took care of delivery to needy families.
Personal charity is the right way to go.
I stopped contributing to them several years ago when i heard rhey walked out of some Trump event or another.
I give to Samaritan’s Purse instead.
My wife’s family has supported the Salvation Army ever since it started in London in 1865. That 157 year tradition of active and financial support ended this year when we found out this organization had been infiltrated by woke communists.
We will not allow one penny of our money to go to communists.
Not one.
The only one I can recall was in front of Cabela's right as the excrement hit the oscillating ventilator. My dad hadn't heard about them going woke and he dropped a donation in the kettle before I could warn him off. I did let him know about it after. Normally, they've been at my local Walmart and a couple of other places. But not this year.
They need to apologize in a way that demonstrates that racism cuts both ways and that their actions themselves are rooted in racism. Basically they need to apologize in a way that would cause a leftist to self combust if they said the words. Instead they will hire a PR firm and offer up an insincere speech that demonstrates that they have no idea.

I am spending all my charity donations this year to prepare to feed up to 24 children grandchildren sister and neices and nephews. Imho it’s inevitable that something collapses. The ability to find food. Afford food. Be alliwed to buy food. Or all 3.

That happens here every month with Chinese restaurant owners.
I wonder if they were infiltrated just for the purpose of disparaging them to stop their contribution to society. Like the Boy Scouts were.

What’s unfortunate is that this is what the secular socialists really wanted, the destruction of yet another Western institution, the Salvation Army.
They once had a very nice thrift store in our city and trained people how to work in department stores. I bought some very nice stuff there and was impressed with the quality of employees. They closed that store about 10 years ago.
This year, our local Safeway shut down their kettle. I happened to be there when the manager came out of the store and told them to go. Sad, really.
I donate to Union Gospel Mission, a terrific organization. So far.

To put it in words that even the "Diversity and Inclusion Officer" can understand; You fu*ked big time toots.
We know the PROG/LIB/SOCIALIST/DEM/COMMUNISTS don’t care when a religious or evangelical organization goes out of business because of WOKEISM, but perhaps when other evangelical/religious organizations see the effects of the consequences they will think better than to follow the SA’s example.
I did a quarterly donation to the SA for almost 50 years, as my wages went up my quarterly donation went up——NO MORE!
Other similar organizations would do well to pay attention to this fact.
INSULTING AND DENIGRATING YOUR DONORS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA!
And “surprise, surprise, surprise”, most people who donate to these types of organizations are (wait for it);
CONSERVATIVE AMERICANS!!!!
