In his novel “Anna Karenina,” Tolstoy writes that “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”
Something similar can be said about New York City mayors: Successful ones share policies and leadership traits, while the failed ones chart individual paths of doom.
Over the last five decades, Gotham has experienced both. The successful mayors — Ed Koch, Rudy Giuliani and Michael Bloomberg — stand tall because they took office in times of crises and turned New York’s fortunes around. They had their warts, but each left the city better off than when he started.

I hve no doubt if deBlasio could run for that office a 3rd time, he would win again. Those voters don’t seem to get the connection between their vote and their style of being governed.

The de Blasios will walk off w/ $$billions.......
He cunningly gave his wife charge of four city agencies that overflowed w/ untraceable tax dollars. The careless wife promptly “lost” a $billion from a mental health fund.
W/ his dying gasp he’s still showing his hatred of taxpayers who made him filthy rich.
He’s attempting to silence parents critical of public education policies.
He would give the city’s Department of Education the authority to “discipline and remove” elected parents from Community Education Councils (CEC) — the city’s version of a school board — if they criticize the school district they are charged with holding accountable.
