Holy Cow! The title question clearly shows that the author is under the impression that states exist to provide goodies to their non-working citizens. They just don’t understand why people leave the blue states.

I moved from MA to NH last week - I don’t want NH to do anything for me but leave me alone and let me live my life and raise my children in freedom. Simple.
I have an uncle that’s thinking of leaving Florida because it’s getting too crowded.
I know more locals in my red state that are blue inside and out than transplants who are seeking refuge from a blue state. Nearly every Democrat I meet was someone who was born and raised here. Guessing the school/college system is more to blame than people moving here.

When I became a refugee from Vermont in New Hampshire, I didn't want the state to "do" anything for me.

To those who point out that they merely wish to be left alone; were it that easy! Being left the #%! alone is the essence of liberty. It has to be worked for. There is always some tyrant or bureaucrats or cronies who are trying their best to NOT leave you alone.
