Since the Keystone Pipeline was shut down I have noticed a great increase in oil cars heading south on the KCS railroad near here.

A couple of weeks ago there was a very long train of brand new oil cars all heading south.

KCS is now owned by Canadian Pacific.

Black robbed tyrants should be hanged from scrub oaks.

I'm not sure a scrub oak would be the most practical scaffold.

Cart ahead of horse scenario:

Pipeline builders abandoned project due to Biden’s actions.

ruled that he couldn’t determine the constitutionality of President Joe Biden’s action because TC Energy, the pipeline’s developer, had abandoned the project.

What private company would wait seven months to see if they should close down a project when the buy said it was canceled? And this is the rational the Judge used? WTF, Judge get a real job, see what the real world requires!

Curious since this topic came up again... Has anyone else here done the “bigger picture” real homework and research about the pros and cons of the Keystone pipeline? I researched it for over a month when they were talking about building it and found BS talking points on both sides.

What I realized is if you completely remove the BS “environmental” excuses and reasoning, it still made no sense from an “economic” perspective in whole. There are a lot of misrepresentations including how many jobs it would have created in the end.

A hint in reasoning of the true situation would be... Low sulfur crude being piped to refineries that are already over burdened just trying to refine enough sweet crude to supply our own national needs. The EPA will never let us use and burn any fuels made from low sulfur crude in this country. It would all be refined for export only, but the added burden on the limited capacity of the refineries would double the price of domestic products we are allowed to burn here by the EPA.

As hard as it is for me to even think this, it may actually have a silver lining when the true economic cause and effect in the end is considered in the bigger picture. I know I will get hit for this... But there are a whole lot of real world aspects and variables not being considered with this.

Yah, this is just another judge tossing a case, after sitting on it for a year, by saying that it is too late.
Just like dozens tossed by similarly partisan/ballless judges did to cases contesting the fraudulent 2020 election.

It would be music to my ears, to hear the Northeast leftists howl as they all slowly freeze and starve to death.

Ping to BroJoeK and "X". Thought you would like to see it's not just me that has this animosity towards the Northeast "elite."

Northeastern leftists are especially vulnerable to their own stupidity in wintertime.

Left coast lefties have fewer winter problems, but more summertime heat, fires, drought, homeless, you name it.
There is no empirical data showing left coast leftist are even one IQ point smarter than Northeasterners.

stupid stupid reasoning

They re not pursuing the pipeline anymore so he doesn’t have to rule on it? DID THEY WITHDRAW THEIR LAWSUIT?

The constitutional question remains, whether or not the company pursues the pipeline.

A federal judge in Texas goes along with Biden, and people in the Northeast should freeze to death?

Who was freezing a year ago? Not us. Politics aside, Vermont Power, or whatever they call it, isn't stupid enough to think that wind and solar will keep them warm in the winter.

Bigotry and hatred are everywhere, but only fools think they are something to rely on.

I didn't say that. I quoted what someone else said. I just wanted you to know that a lot of people think the problem in this nation is the Northeastern elite who have too much sway on the policies of Washington DC.

Who was freezing a year ago? Not us. Politics aside, Vermont Power, or whatever they call it, isn't stupid enough to think that wind and solar will keep them warm in the winter.

I recall reading that there was some sort of problem with the power grid in Texas last year, but I have no personal knowledge of it because I don't live in Texas. I recall the media blew it up into some sort of big deal but when I read the details of it, it wasn't as significant as the media liars were trying to portray it as.

Bigotry and hatred are everywhere, but only fools think they are something to rely on.

I don't think it is bigotry and hatred of a particular state, but a state is sometimes used as a synecdoche for the group that is actually causing the problem.

When I try to be accurate, I portray the group as "northeastern elites who are part of the corruption cartel running Washington DC."

Even that isn't perfectly accurate, because we have seen the rise of the Silicon Valley elites, and the Redmond Washington elites, and the Chicago elites have been around a long time, and all of these "elites" are part of the overall "elite" structure running things in the USA.

I occasionally post a ping to you and others regarding stories I see as demonstrating the influence of a corruption cartel influencing Washington DC power behind the scenes.

20 years ago I suspected no such thing, and now I am almost convinced there is a shadow government influenced by the super wealthy and which sets Federal policy to favor their own interests.

Judge Jeffrey Brown, of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, ruled that he couldn’t determine the constitutionality of President Joe Biden’s action because TC Energy, the pipeline’s developer, had abandoned the project.

"I couldn't determine whether he killed her because she was dead."
