How can America’s “energy independence” be destroyed due to the cancellation of a pipeline project that was designed to bring crude oil here from another country?

Stop thinking so critically.(sarc) Canada is in North AMERICA.

Are they still going to expand the pipeline going from AB to Vancouver?

How about the trans Canada pipeline that would go from AB to the BC coast?

I always like to ask with something like this Keystone decision. Who benefits?
The railroads CPRS, CN, BNSF, UP
The companies that own existing pipelines coming from AB.
Anyone who buys oil on the Pacific Coast (US west coast refineries, Japanese, Chinese, South Korean, etc.)
