Nice try at creating fear porn but they do this every year. In case anyone hasn’t noticed, the US Army has spent much of its time fighting insurgent/guerrilla wars. The Philippines, Nicaragua, Middle East, Indian Wars Vietnam, etc. They’d be fools not to train for this.
The Robin Sage exercises have been going on for decades. Nothing new here.
The only time Robin Sage has been newsworthy was 20 years ago when a deputy sheriff shot a couple of soldiers who were not in uniform and wouldn’t identify themselves as soldiers.

They’ve been doing this for decades. Lots of locals participate willingly. We did it when I was active duty and it was very enjoyable!
