WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Army, for the first time, is offering a maximum enlistment bonus of $50,000 to highly skilled recruits who join for six years, The Associated Press has learned, as the service struggles to lure soldiers into certain critical jobs during the continuing pandemic....
...Vereen said the Army is doing more to address those types of concerns. Last fall the Army significantly increased the option to enlist for two years, expanding it to a total of 84 different career fields. And some will be able to choose where they will initially be assigned — a benefit Army leaders approved in an effort to be more family friendly and bolster the recruiting effort, particularly in the pandemic.
According to Vereen, the total amount of bonuses available hasn’t been set. But the money has decreased every year since a peak of more than $485 million in 2018, after the Army failed to meet its annual recruiting goal. In the fiscal year that ended last Sept. 30, the Army spent more than $233 million on bonuses, with about 16,500 recruits getting an average enlistment bonus of more than $14,000....

Their own article states they started fixing the problem in 2018. My boss was trying to use the covid excuse also. As a leader i called her out, because the original problem was not fixed, covid only magnified it.
At first i tried the softball approach. That did not work. I had to escalate twice just to get her to see that.
For $50K, a recruit could go in using the urinal and come out sitting sporting a set of DDs.
Would a sane person take a 50k bonus, to defend a totalitarian regime, hellbent on wiping out morality and liberty, killing Americans, subjugating America to a foreign socialist power, which peevasively commits treason, and which unleashes an inflationary wave which makes their 50k purchase 25k, or worse (likely much worse if we don’t stop the Schwab/Putin/Xi junta...
The military should have stepped in to stop this madness before it started.
But unfortunately they are one of the biggest players in the deception and takedown of America.

Thanks to wokeness, the military has lost the high esteem in which Americans once held it. Before they let their inner Leftist out, maybe the Generals and Admirals should have taken notice that a lot of their rank and file troops come from the very people they most despise - so-called “deplorables” from “flyover country”.
No expert marksmen who won’t take the jab need apply.
If I were of that age, no way would I join today’s woke military. Thankfully, I’ve been successful thus far in discouraging extended family members from joining it as well.

No amount of money would entice me or any of my offspring to join the woke forces. Even before they were woke the armed forces were a rotten deal, constantly dealing with their members in bad faith, betraying and abandoning them at every opportunity.
Now on top of that they are setting them up for the mother of all Pearl Harbor situations and will be completely useless until a total leadership overhaul is effected.
