Heck. The NYT hasn't even rejected the Pulitzer Prize given for Duranty's articles which kissed Stalin's and the Soviet's asses while they were murdering and starving millions of their own people.
Joseph McCarthy has been proven absolutely correct in his estimation of communist infiltration into America and the damage it could do, and through his heroics, we got several more decades where it was disreputable to be a communist, though that began to fade in the late Sixties into the Seventies.
Now we have open communists in the government, and even poking their heads up in the military (though this scum got put down, the black Marxist gals here seem to have skated free)
