The suspect in an apparent hostage situation at a Texas synagogue is identified as Muhammad Siddiqui by ABC News, which reports that he’s holding the rabbi of the congregation and three others hostage.
Siddiqui claimed during the livestream to be the brother of Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani national who was convicted in 2010 by a New York City Federal Court of attempting to kill US military personnel. She is currently serving an 86-year sentence at Federal Medical Center, Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
ABC, citing a source at the scene, says Siddiqui is demanding his sister’s release.
Criminals should no longer be in jail for ANYTHING but if you are a conservative or DARE to speak against our current tyrant THEN they put you in jail.

Reporter is a moron. Until the brother is proved to be a fool, I (and I hope law enforcement) is dealing with high level, sophisticated terrorists. Freeing a prominent terrorist from prison in the US, with a husband at GITMO, can't assume this is just a aberrant brother. The family in Pakistan is both prominent, and close to the upper levels of al Qaida.
Hopefully a peaceful conclusion, which will allow them to ignore the threat staring us in the face. He’ll just be a misguided fellow trying to help his sister. Unjustly imprisoned. I worked with someone named Mohammed Siddiqui about ten years ago. One of the most unhappy, sullen people I’ve ever met. I really thought it was going to be him.
On another note, if this had been a white person taking hostages for the same reason in a mosque, the cries of ISLAMOPHOBIA would be off the charts. But a Muslim taking hostages in a synagogue? Well, that has nothing to do with anti-Semitism or bigotry. Nothing to see here. Move along.
